Your UNIQUE POWER to Change Someone’s Tomorrow

Oh What a Difference You Make!

As an O- blood donor, you are the universal red cell donor. That is because your red blood cells can be transfused to any patient, regardless of the recipient’s blood type. However, only 7% of the population has this versatile blood type.

When seconds count, emergency room doctors often do not have time to determine the blood type of the patient and will depend on O- blood to help save lives in these situations. Because of this, your blood type is in the highest demand.

We count on your donations to help those with compromised immune systems like cancer patients or even premature babies who need a transfusion.

You Have the Power to Help Patients Like Melissa

On January 24, 2012, Melissa Dohme’s life changed forever. Her abusive ex-boyfriend attacked her outside her mother’s home. She was stabbed 32 times and left for dead.

When the rescue team arrived, they saw the severity of the wounds and immediately called for a helicopter to airlift Melissa to the nearest trauma center.

Melissa lost her entire blood volume and needed 12 units of blood to survive.
